Chocolate and hazelnuts cream

Description

A rich, velvety spread with an intense hazelnut taste, enhanced with the sweet notes of milk chocolate and a hint of vanilla. It is produced exclusively from quality ingredients such as Sicilian hazelnuts (25%) and olive oil.

***Note: This jar contains 180 g of chocolate and hazelnuts cream. When you open the jar, the gap at the top may give you the impression that some of its contents are missing. However, we can assure you that you will find 180 g of happiness inside!

Uses

Start your day on the right foot by spreading our chocolate-hazelnut cream on toasted bread, pancakes or a piece of Favuzzi panettone. It is delicious as a topping for a banana or strawberries, yogurt or ice cream, or to add a luxurious touch to various desserts. You can also enjoy it by itself, right out of the jar!

Distinctives attributes

We created this cream as an homage to the chocolate spread that indulged the sweet tooth of generations of children around the world! Our chocolate-hazelnut cream is even richer and contains only healthy ingredients: Sicilian hazelnuts, low-fat cocoa powder and extra virgin olive oil (no palm oil). 

Artisan

Nino Marino and Vincenzo Longhitano were only 20 years old when they founded their confectionery business in the Sicilian town of Bronte. Fifteen years later, their sweets and spreads are still made by hand, with local ingredients such as a hazelnut variety from the Nebrodi Mountains, following traditional methods.

History and anecdotes

Chocolate-hazelnut spreads are believed to have been inspired by gianduia, a chocolate and hazelnut paste invented in Turin, Italy, in the 19th century. Since the blockade ordered by Napoleon I against the United Kingdom led to an increase in the price of cocoa, Turin confectioners had the idea to blend it with finely ground hazelnuts.

Sicilian hazelnuts 25%, Sugar, Low-fat cocoa powder, Milk powder, Non-hydrogenated vegetable fat (sunflower oil, cocoa butter), Extra virgin olive oil, Emulsifier: soy lecithin, Natural vanilla.

Conservation

Store in a cool dry place. Oil separation is natural.
