Cocktail Sauce

So easy to prepare, this nicely spicy cocktail sauce will allow you to quickly put together delicious hors d’œuvres for your guests. Made with Joe Beef hot sauce and ketchup, this sauce will be ideal as a shrimp dip for those summer evenings between friends. It will also let you experience the taste of Joe Beef seafood at home, as if you were at the restaurant.

Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 125 ml ( cup) Joe Beef ketchup

  • 15 g (½ oz) grated horseradish

  • 30 g (1 oz) grated carrot
  • 30 g (1 oz) grated celery
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) lemon juice
  • Zest of half a lemon
  • 10 ml (2 teaspoons) Joe Beef hot sauce
  • 5 ml (1 teaspoon) Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the shrimp hors d’œuvres

  • Cooked and shelled shrimp
  • 34 Degrees poppy seed crackers

 

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients.
  2. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve as a side.
  3. Will keep 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator, stored in an airtight container.
  4. To make the shrimp hors d’œuvres, dip a shrimp in the cocktail sauce and place on a cracker.
  5. Enjoy immediately !
