Favuzzi tomato sauce
Ingredients
- Extra virgin olive oil Goccia di Sole (imported from the Puglia region)
- ½ onion, diced
- 1 garlic clove, peeled and finely chopped
- 1 can Favuzzi diced tomatoes (796 ml)
- Fresh basil or parsley
- Salt
Preparation
- In a saucepan, heat a little olive oil over medium heat and add onion and garlic.
- Cook until golden.
- Add diced tomatoes and bring to the boil.
- Lower heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Add salt to taste, garnish with basil leaves and simmer for a few more minutes. Serve over pasta.
