Favuzzi tomato sauce

Ingredients

  • Extra virgin olive oil Goccia di Sole (imported from the Puglia region)
  • ½ onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled and finely chopped
  • 1 can Favuzzi diced tomatoes (796 ml)
  • Fresh basil or parsley
  • Salt

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, heat a little olive oil over medium heat and add onion and garlic.
  2. Cook until golden.
  3. Add diced tomatoes and bring to the boil.
  4. Lower heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Add salt to taste, garnish with basil leaves and simmer for a few more minutes. Serve over pasta.
