Glazed green beans with gorgonzola

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh green beans trimmed
  • 15-30 ml (1-2 tbsp.) Extra virgin olive oil with garlic
  • (. 2 tbsp) 30 ml onion jam with toasted garlic Stonewall Kitchen
  • 190 ml (3/4 cup) crumbled gorgonzola cheese
  • 65 ml (1/4 cup) sliced almonds

Preparation

  1. Bring 2 liters of water to the boil in a large pot.
  2. Add beans and cook for 3 to 5 minutes or until half-cooked.
  3. Drain and rinse in chilled water to cool.
  4. Heat garlic olive oil in a large pan.
  5. Add beans and sauté for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring to cook on all sides.
  6. Add 2 tablespoons of garlic and onion jam.
  7. Stir well for approximately 3 minutes.
  8. Jam will melt down, bubble and completely coat the beans.
  9. Place beans on a large serving plate.
  10. Garnish with a generous amount of crumbled gorgonzola and sliced almonds.
