Slow-cooker braised sausages with tomatoes and spices

Serves 4
- 700 g sausages of your choice
- 1 white onion, diced
- 1 large carrot, peeled and cubed
- 2 garlic cloves, smashed and finely chopped
- 5 mL (1 teaspoon) Favuzzi spicy italian herb mix
- 2 cans Favuzzi peeled tomatoes
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 thyme sprigs
- 5 mL (1 teaspoon) dried oregano
- 175 g (1/2 jar) Villevieille Picheline green olives
Preparation
- In a pan, brown the sausages on all sides. Place on kitchen towels and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté the onion, then add the carrot and finish with the garlic.
- Cut the sausages in three pieces in place in the slow-cooker.
- Add the mixed vegetables and the rest of the ingredients.
- Cook on low setting for 6 hours.
- Serve with white rice or mashed potatoes and savour at the end of a fall day spent enjoying the great outdoors!
